Profile Line
The Role Model
A life in three phases, culminating in an embodied wisdom that teaches by example.
The Line
Line 6 is the Role Model, and it has the longest arc in Human Design. The first phase (roughly to the first Saturn return, around age 29) mirrors Line 3: experimental, bumpy, learning through what doesn't work. Then Line 6 moves into a second phase — climbing to a rooftop to observe and integrate, stepping back from direct involvement. Around the second Saturn return (mid-50s) or often earlier at the Chiron return (50s), Line 6 comes back down, embodying the wisdom the full arc has produced. The life they've lived becomes the teaching.
Strengths
An earned wisdom that can only come from having lived through all the phases. The credibility of someone who has genuinely been through it. A natural authority that doesn't need to assert itself.
Challenges
The patience required for the arc. The observer phase can feel like stagnation or disengagement. Trusting that the process is working when nothing seems to be happening takes real courage.
Relationships
Line 6 people's relationship styles often shift significantly between phases. Later relationships, chosen with the full arc's wisdom, tend to be more durably aligned.
