The Line
Line 5 is the Heretic, one of the most powerful and most complex lines in Human Design. Line 5 people are projected upon — others see in them a practical savior, a problem-solver, a person who has the answer. This projection field is not earned; it comes with the line. When Line 5 people live up to the projection — when they genuinely have the practical wisdom others see — they have enormous reach and impact. When the projection is disappointed, the reversal is equally strong.
Strengths
Wide projection field that creates natural influence and reach. An ability to be seen as the practical answer to collective needs. Real impact on many people when operating in alignment.
Challenges
Managing the gap between who others think they are and who they actually are. Being careful about which projections to step into and which to deflect.
Relationships
Close relationships require people to see past the Line 5 projection to the real person. The Line 5 person often has a very different experience of themselves than others have of them.
