Natural, unsought gifts that need solitude to develop — and a community that calls them out.
The Line
Line 2 is the Hermit. People with a prominent Line 2 have natural gifts they aren't entirely aware of — the gifts are simply how they are, not something they've cultivated through effort. The challenge is that Line 2 people need solitude to maintain and develop those gifts, but they are also called out by others who see the gifts more clearly than the Hermit does. The Hermit's life oscillates between withdrawal and being summoned.
Strengths
Natural, effortless talent in their domain. An ability to go deep in solitude. A quality of unselfconscious excellence that other people find magnetic.
Challenges
Not recognizing their own gifts (they seem ordinary from the inside). Resisting the call to emerge — or, conversely, being called out of solitude too often and losing the regenerative alone time.
Relationships
Line 2 people need partners who honor their need for solitude and don't take it personally. The right people see and call out their gifts without demanding constant presence.
