About This Center

The Ajna is an awareness center, not a motor or a pressure center. It processes the inspiration that comes from the Head and tries to make sense of it — to conceptualize, analyze, and form certainties. The Ajna doesn't generate pressure; it processes it. Its certainties, when defined, are reliable and consistent; when open, they fluctuate and adapt to context.

When Defined

You have a consistent, reliable way of processing information and forming opinions. Your mental framework is stable and characteristically yours. You think in a particular way and can trust that way of processing.

When Open

Your thinking is highly adaptable and context-dependent. You can genuinely see many sides of any question. The trap is pretending to certainties you don't have, or feeling like the constantly shifting mental landscape is a problem.

Open Center Not-Self Theme

Pretending to be certain about things you're not; feeling pressure to have a definitive answer when your design is to hold multiple perspectives simultaneously.

The Open Center's Wisdom

The open Ajna becomes genuinely wise about the mind — capable of understanding many different mental frameworks because it has processed through all of them.
