Inner Authority

Lunar Authority

Give every big decision 28 days — let the moon cycle through all your open centers.

Reflector

How It Works

Lunar Authority belongs exclusively to Reflectors. Because Reflectors have no consistently defined centers, they have no fixed inner authority — no gut, no emotional wave, no Splenic knowing that's reliably their own. Instead, their authority is the Moon. As the Moon transits through all 64 gates over about 28 days, it activates different centers and channels in the Reflector's chart, giving them a rotating window of different experiences, perspectives, and feelings about any given decision. The full cycle is the process.

How It Feels

Some days the decision will feel exciting. Others it will feel wrong. On some days you might feel completely indifferent. This isn't confusion — this is the process working correctly. Over a full month you experience the decision from nearly every angle. By the end of the cycle, you'll have a much fuller picture of whether this is truly right for you.

The Practice

Give yourself 28 days for significant decisions. Keep a journal during that time — note how you feel about the decision each day. Talk to different trusted people across the month (not just one person). Notice patterns: Does it consistently feel right more often than not? Does it feel increasingly uncertain? The wisdom is in the full arc.

Common Pitfall

Rushing. The entire mechanic requires the full lunar cycle. Deciding in a high moment — or being pressured into a decision before the cycle completes — leads to the Reflector's not-self theme of disappointment. Give it the time it needs.
